Fascinating interview with former Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Fraser on the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the attack on the USS Liberty and 9/11. He is clearly aware of the US Government staging the Gulf of Tonkin incident, and also that Israel deliberately attacked the USS Liberty resulting in US fatalities and a subsequent US Government cover up. He makes the profound observation that "...it demonstrates that a major power - when it believes it's vital interests are involved - will sacrifice any number of it's own people". History has demonstrated the unfortunate truth of those words over and over again, and it is a key principle to remember in order to understand what is going on in the world. It goes to show that one can never rely on their Government to tell them the truth when it comes to war and matters of "deep politics".

The interviewer promised to send Malcolm some information on WTC 7, so will be interesting to see what impact that has on his view of 9/11. It is encouraging to see someone of Malcolm Fraser's stature airing some very thoughtful comments on some key events of "deep politics".
